JOAN SARDA, S.A. (Penedes)

This winery is located in the heart of the Penedes region, just outside of Barcelona. It was founded in 1927 by Tomas Sarda, and continues to be run by the Sarda family. Joan Sarda, S.A. is one of the finest producers of still wines and Cava in the area.

 

 

 

 

La Terra Blanco- Made from equal proportions of Macabeu, Xarel-lo and Parellada grapes. Light yellow color. Fruity nose with hints of apple. Light bodied and refreshing on the palate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vina Sarda Blanco-  Made from 60% Xarel-lo, 40% Chardonnay grapes. Light yellow color with greenish tints. Elegant aromas showing fresh green apple notes. Excellent summer wine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Blanc Mariner- Made from 50% Chardonnay, 50% Xarel-lo grapes. Bright yellow color. Fine and fruity aromas. Intense palate with hints of traditional fresh chardonnay characteristics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Chardonnay-  Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Light amber tone. Splendid nose with tropical fruit aromas. Velvety feel on the palate. Medium bodied wine with no oak aging. To be enjoyed young and fresh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Moscatel-  Made from 100% Moscatel grapes. Orange in color. Extraorinarily fragrant nose of sweetness. This wine is a delicious sweet grape juice which is not fortified and deliciously sweet.

Vina Sarda Tinto-  Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. Ruby color tones. Intense, fruity aromas. Well-balanced and fruity taste as a pure Tempranillo based wine should show.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Merlot- Made from 100% Merlot grapes. This “crianza” is aged for at least 2 years in oak and in the bottle before being released. Dark cherry color. Notes of well ripened fruits on the nose. Ample palate with excellent sweet tannins which open towards the fruit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Cabernet Sauvignon-  Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This “crianza” is aged for at least 2 years in American oak casks and in the bottle before being released. Dark cherry color. Intense nose, with hints of ripe fruit. Full bodied on the mouth with a long finish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gran Vinya Sarda Reserva-  Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes. Aged for at least 3 years in oak casks and in the bottle before being released. Deep cherry color with ruby shades. Intense aromas of ripe fruit. It shows a smooth, distinguished character with a long, beautiful evolution in the mouth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Feixes del Port – Made from 100% Lladoner (Garnacha) grapes. This wine is from Port de la Selva just on the French border. Deep dark color. Ultra ripe fruits on the nose. Full bodied and fruity with a long finish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarda Cava Brut-  Made from a blend of Macabeu, Xarel-lo, and Parellada grapes. Cava made using the traditional method. Clean, crisp, and bubbly. This is the perfect wine for any event.
