PAGO DEL VICARIO (Castilla)

 Pago del Vicario is located in Ciudad Real, flanked by the Guadiana River and the Toledo mountains. The Pago del Vicario project was launched in 2000. It entails a wonderful picturesque vineyard, a state of the art winery, four-star hotel, and an excellent restaurant as well.

 

 

Pago del Vicario Petit Verdot Rosado- Made from 100% Petit Verdot grapes. This wine is so unique, it will delight Rosado lovers and recruit new converts to this wine category. Cherry-pink color with blue hints on a bright rim. Very fruity, fresh nose. Notable character of fruits of the forest such as blackberry and strawberry. Hints of herbs and brushwood. Lively and fresh on the palate, well balanced. Complex fruity character.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pago del Vicario 50-50- Made from 50% Tempranillo, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Aged 12 months in French, American, and Caucasian oak casks. Stunning ruby-red color. Aroma of mature red fruits, strawberry, redcurrant, white coffee, smoke and mineral chalk tones. Alive in the mouth, high fruit-bearing with a pleasant acidity.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pago del Vicario Monagos- Made from 80% Syrah, 20% Garnacha grapes. Aged for 12 months in French and American oak casks. Deep, cherry-red color with a ruby rim. Rich spices on the nose include nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and coffee, blended with sweet notes of caramelized sugar, cream caramel, and dried figs. Balanced palate with firm tannins. Flavors include ripe dark cherry and sweet pastry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pago del Vicario Corte Dulce- Made from 50% Chardonnay, 50% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The fermentation was cut by cooling, thus retaining the sugar and making this a sweet wine. Straw-yellow color with a clean, bright, green rim. Tropical fruit aromas include passion fruit and guava. Fruity palate with fresh acidity and subtle sweetness. Peach and guava flavors notable.
